Overnight price changes, players close to moving, and press-conference news, refreshed every three hours. Estimates always say so.

Transfers that add up
Before a move is suggested it is checked against FPL's rules: positions, three per club, and your bank. If it does not add up, you never see it.

Every number goes to VAR.
- Code computes, never the model. Form, xGI, prices and fixtures come from our pipeline and tested functions.
- Rules are checked by code. A transfer is only shown after it passes FPL's rules and your budget.
- Estimates say so. Anything about the future is labelled, never sold as certain.
- Invented numbers are disallowed. A sentence with a number we did not compute never goes out.

Q01What is Armband?
Free, open-source tools for Fantasy Premier League. Connect your team and see your fifteen with the numbers that matter (form, expected goal involvement, minutes risk, fixture difficulty), then pick your best XI, rate your lineup, choose a captain and find transfers that fit your bank. The Gaffer, our AI manager, does the same work in plain words.
Q02Is it free?
Yes, and it stays free. Every tool is free with no limits and no ads. The code is open source, so anyone can check how it works or run their own copy.
Q03Is it open source?
Yes. All of Armband is on GitHub under the MIT license: the website, the data pipeline, the insight engine and the Gaffer. Read how every number is computed, run it yourself, or contribute.
Q04Does it change my real FPL team?
No — Armband only reads your team and never asks for your FPL password. When the Gaffer picks your XI, makes a transfer or changes your captain, it shows the plan on your pitch. You apply or revert it in Armband, then make the changes in the FPL app.
Q05Do I need to give you my FPL password?
No. We only ever need your public FPL team ID — the number in your Points page address. We read your team; we cannot make transfers or change anything.
Q06Where does the data come from?
From Fantasy Premier League's public data, refreshed every three hours, plus Champions League fixture dates for fixture congestion. Our own pipeline computes every metric from it.
Q07Can the Gaffer make things up?
It is built not to. It may only use figures that came back from a lookup in that conversation, and you see every lookup on screen. If it does not have a number, it says so instead of guessing.
Q08What does "estimate" mean?
Anything about the future — fixture difficulty, goal threat, price rises and falls — is our best computed estimate, never a guarantee. We label it every time.
Q09How are transfers checked?
Against FPL's rules: positions must match, no more than three players from one club, and your bank cannot go negative. Selling prices are estimates, because FPL keeps half of any rise since you bought and your purchase prices are private.
Q10Is this the official FPL app?
No. Armband is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League. It uses public data only; the club kits on the pitch belong to their clubs.
Q11How do I delete my account?
From Settings, at any time. Deleting your account removes your login, your connected team and your usage history. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of your email with its question count, so the free allowance can't be reset by signing up again.
